New book, but not my normal stuff!

Well, I did it. I have another book out. But its not your run of the mill, L. A. Brown book. In fact, its not even a reading book. It's a coloring book. A mandala coloring book.

Right now, and that will change hopefully in the next couple of days, its in e-book form, which means if you have a touch-screen, you touch and hold the object you want to print and a pop-up will appear. If you're using the computer, a right clicky-of-the-button will bring up the print option. Either way, you can print off the mandalas to your heart's desire and color away.

Now, when the coloring book itself comes out, there are pictures only printed on one side of the page, the other is blank. Why? You ask? Good question, which deserves a good answer. Because, if you use markers or sharpies in your book, there will be bleed-through to the next page (the back of the picture), which would ruin whatever is on the back of the page.

All of the mandalas are hand drawn by me, there are no computer images in there. It was digitized, sure, but that's so the lines were a bit darker and the picture could be a smidge clearer. Regardless, they are still original drawings by me, including the one on the front. The picture on the back, I don't take credit for. Its a head-relaxing-thingy...not sure where one finds one of those or why one would use one. I guess its a preference thing.

**update 9/27/2015**

Apparently Kindle and Kindle Fire don't like the print option, so to get around that, I put a link for an e-book converter in the manuscript. When folks download the ebook  version, hopefully (if they have either Kindle) will see that and upload the free converter (its a trial version). I'm hoping that fixes that little bug!

Until we walk those streets of gold together, rest in peace, dear Debi.

I sat here and looked at my blank screen for quite a while. I want to say so much, but I don't know what to say or where to start. My first best friend, my Sister-Cousin Debi, has gone to Glory. Its not as if we didn't expect her passing, because we did. We knew this was coming, even with all of the prayers for complete healing, we still knew. And, I daresay, we mentioned to God for His will to be done, knowing that He was finishing his preparation for her to go Home, but still we held out hope. Debi was released to home hospice I think about three weeks ago, with the warning that she had between 48 hours and two months left. There was hopeful news in there, too...her lungs were clear as a bell. It made me think we were on an upward trend, and encouraged me to continue to pray for healing. But in the back of my mind, I knew. Lord, I knew that her time was limited. So I went down there to her one more time. I spent more time with her...I made her laugh, checked her throwing

Jesus wept.

Jesus wept. That is the shortest verse in the entire Bible, but it speaks volumes about Him. Jesus, fully God and fully Man. Human from stem to stern. To say that He never experienced what we do now is, according to this verse, totally false. He encountered racism, segregation, slavery, bias, prejudice...joy, anger, the gamut of emotions, and no doubt He even encountered counter-cultures, but none of it, not one iota of it can compare to the emotion of grief. To put it bluntly, today, Jesus can relate with me, and with others who are going through the process of grief. In the Bible, Jesus was ministering to those around Him when He got word that one of His dearest friends was very ill, close to death. He acknowledged the news, and continued healing and teaching.  After two more days, Jesus told them that they needed to go to Judea, so that He may "wake" Lazarus.
