...in asmuch as it is possible, live peaceably with all men...

Well, probably the one of the most close Presidential races on records is now in the history books and the Incumbent remains. For some its a victory, for others, well to be honest, shock, tears and even harsh words are on their agendas. This ought not be so!

In Romans 13, we are encouraged to "submit" to those in authority;

13. Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except by God's appointment, and the authorities that exist have been instituted by God. 2. So the person who resists such authority resists the ordinance of God.....

There are more verses that pretty much say the same thing, that regardless of who is in the White House that we are to pray for him, submit to him (as long as his law does not supersede God's laws), and as much as possible to live peaceably with all men. To have God's children and His People Israel rebel, engage in name calling or grumbling is not where we need to be.

I will admit, I did not vote for Mr. Obama. The paths that he took are ones that I do not agree with and they far outweigh the ones that I do agree with. I do not believe that he has the US' best interest at heart, and I don't believe that he was a good choice at all. Apparently others thought differently, and I have to abide by that decision. I will continue to pray for the Presidency and for the United States and for God's hand of protection, that He will not remove his hand.

To be honest, I don't know what happened as Mr. Romney was ahead for so much of the election. When the news networks "projected" the win for Mr. Obama, I was livid because not even 75% of the precincts were in and this was a battleground state. In my opinion projections should not be allowed until 100% of the votes are in and counted and the Electorates are allowed to make the votes as they should. But that's just me.

The other thing, we all as a Nation need to come together and pray for not only the President and our Country. We need to set aside the partisanship's, our desires, our greed and work together to make sure that things start working the way that they were designed to work. The Constitution needs to be able to be applied as it was written and amended as our Country grew and learned. The Bill of Rights needs to be adhered to. Our laws need to be obeyed. We need to fix the problem that our leaders have had in taking from the Social Security fund and they need to replace the funds removed. If that means that they have to be a part of it, then I am 1000% for it, in fact, it should be passed that they need to be a part of it. There are a lot of things need to be fixed, and necessary programs that need to be reinstated or bolstered. To be righteously angry about the way that our elected officials have handled these programs, and inevitably our lives is OK. Take action, write your Senators, your Congressmen or women, your President and ask them to listen to their constituents. Help them to do the jobs that they were hired to do, without your feedback then they are on their own to do what needs to be done, some with information that is harmful and wrong....but don't grumble or take actions that are wrong or illegal, that will only enforce the notion that God's people are ignorant and hypocrites.

All in all, please, folks use your heads and your knees over the next four years. To do otherwise is a sin, and you know it. I say this because if the Holy Spirit is directing you to take the action of prayer and you disregard that direction, then as it states in the Word, it is indeed a sin. Let's try to refrain from ignoring this gentle prodding of the Spirit and pray without ceasing. It will do our Country good and will do you good. If nothing else, your soul will be at ease and it will assist you with the living peaceably (if possible) with others, I promise.
