An observer on observations....

Travelling makes for an interesting day. There has never been a time that I haven’t had an eyebrow raised or a smile on my face while I am people watching in an airport. Airports, I find, have a plethora of individuals to watch, obviously, and I dare say that even Sigmund Freud would have a field day with the many phobias, isms, and the like to write many, many papers and books. Take for example this couple that was waiting to board the flight I was on. He was wheelchair bound and rather big, in both height and girth, and she was petite, couldn’t have weighed more than 105 soaking wet, and yet here she was pushing her beloved towards the boarding gate until the gate agent stopped her. The agent then called for assistance for this couple so that the little old lady and her not so little old man could get on board safely. The determination in her face to make sure that her husband was taken care of was obvious and the love that he had for her was even more obvious, although it seemed ...

The People of Walmart.....Uhm.....

What can one say after watching one of those clips? Me, personally? I would say, "Please, God, don't let me go out in anything with pit stains or sweat stains....my luck I'll end up on one of those reels". Seriously. Murphy's Law (or the fourth law of thermodynamics) states t hat "anything that can go wrong will go wrong". I suppose that it can be said that it is in and of itself, the ultimate appeal to probability. Or so they say.  Anyway, have you ever watched one of those things? They're scary! Up until recently, I thought they were contrived, you know, staged. Uh, no. There were a couple of times that I was walking behind an honest to goodness Walmart video wannabe. Frightening scene, it was. There were others, of course, but I didn't have my camera out fast enough to catch them in action.  Trust me, I've seen quite a few, and when you live in Texas, they seem to be in abundance. Unfortunately, they don't just land in Texas....t...

Rain, rain go away! I want to see more of Japan today!

You've got to love it when the forecast says "73 with light rain" and its raining buckets of cats and dogs! Visibility right now is less than a half a mile and the wind is making the rain look worse. Add into the fact that moods tend to match the weather and there you have it! Lol! Actually, most everyone is good, Little Monkey is having issues. Let me expound on this. Last night there was this hideous sounding motorcycle that sounded like it was on its last bit of rubber that sputtered its way by Beth's apartment. I was sleeping really very light last night for some reason, but I was totally twisted up in the blanket that was on me. When that whiny thing went by, I was jolted from sleep and so was Monkey. By the time I untangled myself, mama was already there to the rescue. A couple of hours later, the wind and rain were pounding so hard I thought we might lose the roof. Again, Monkey woke up; again I was twisted up in my blanket, but this time I was trying to unw...
