I am sooo excited!

As of today, I guess you could say that I am now a published author!
I know, I have the blog so technically I could have said that a year ago, but this is different.

A few days ago  a friend of mine, Candee Fultz, asked me to be a contributing author to her new online magazine called Living Faithfully and I have accepted. The magazine is a Christian based magazine that right now has only a few pages, but hopefully soon will be resplendent with many, many pages! It has interviews, home tips, recipes, classifieds, a health page and much more!

I hope that you will take a few minutes to check it out and tell your friends about it. I am impressed with the work that Candee has put into it and the other contributing authors have done a wonderful job as well.

I sat here and looked at my blank screen for quite a while. I want to say so much, but I don't know what to say or where to start. My first best friend, my Sister-Cousin Debi, has gone to Glory. Its not as if we didn't expect her passing, because we did. We knew this was coming, even with all of the prayers for complete healing, we still knew. And, I daresay, we mentioned to God for His will to be done, knowing that He was finishing his preparation for her to go Home, but still we held out hope. Debi was released to home hospice I think about three weeks ago, with the warning that she had between 48 hours and two months left. There was hopeful news in there, too...her lungs were clear as a bell. It made me think we were on an upward trend, and encouraged me to continue to pray for healing. Urgent Plea for Help

URGENT PLEA FOR HELP ***UPDATE*** While there is still quite a bit of work to do, we here in Houston are well on the road to recovery. There are still some who have not had someone in to evaluate their situations, but Recovery Teams and FEMA are doing their best to get to those in need. We still covet your prayers for all involved. For the teams that are going in to do the initial assessments, the mud-outs, and the repair work...for the FEMA teams and most especially for the families who's lives have been affected by the flooding. Whatever you do, if it's in Japanese, don't push the button!

I have to tell you that I have a problem. If there is a lever to be pulled or a button to be pushed, I'll volunteer. Especially if its not labeled or is in a foreign language. Its just what I do. I have an inner compulsion to push buttons and pull levers. Call it curiosity or call it a weird obsession, I have to do it. Let me expound. Before my first was born I took time to visit my parents who lived in Tucson at the time. They lived in an adobe brick townhouse that was in a comfortable, not too bad area of town. Of course, anywhere you go in Tucson, you will see what are called security bars on windows and doors even in the best of neighborhoods.
