NEW BOOKS!!!

Okay...I'm going to bust some buttons here. I've got news about not one, not two, but three new books that have hit the shelves...and two of them aren't mine. LOL!

I've been blessed in the past 10+ years to have gotten to know and love these ladies I'm about to brag on. One I've known since my banking days, the other, I met by happenstance at Church. Both of them are women of God, dedicated to bringing awareness of issues that face all of us, not just women, in the Christian Church, and writing about the goodness of our Almighty Father.

The first lady, Chelsia McCoy, has a couple of books out, and they are good, they really are.  As I said, the stories in there are amazing. It is full of stories of women who faced adversities, mountains they couldn't possibly climb, valleys they couldn't possibly get out of, but with God's grace, mercy and help, they were able to overcome and be victorious. On Amazon.com for sale, it is well worth the purchase.

The other author, Melissa Ruth is a mover and shaker! Her book, "Made for Change: Turn unwanted change into something beautiful" https://www.amazon.com/MADE-Change-unwanted-something-beautiful-ebook/dp/B07GD66B2X/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=Melissa+Ruth&qid=1551809019&s=books&sr=1-1is a game changer for anyone who is faced with unwanted changes in their lives.

Regardless of the circumstance, whether it's divorce, death of a loved one, illness...whatever the situation, she writes of the love of God and how He is willing and able to help us through those changes.

That brings me to the last book. Mine. This has been a work in progress from over 10 years ago when I wrote a skit and presented it to the church I was attending. Since then, the story has evolved from the simple skit to a complex story of God's unending love and the lengths He goes to show the Sinner that He's serious about wanting to have them spend Eternity with Him.

While it is listed under Christian Thrillers/Suspense, it is also listed under Suspense. I could have never completed this work without God guiding my hand, without the input of so many, and the proofers that read the completed work. Without Melissa's help, the cover would have not been as spectacular (thank you from the bottom of my heart, Melissa!). It is now available for pre-order on Kindle, and the paperback will be available soon as well.

I hope you will take the time to check out these books. All of them are available on Amazon.com. The first two, in my opinion, are wonderful and must reads. The third one, mine, well, I'm a bit biased...I think it's pretty awesome. Just as an aside, one of my proofers said it was the best I've done, so there's that.

Until we walk those streets of gold together, rest in peace, dear Debi.

I sat here and looked at my blank screen for quite a while. I want to say so much, but I don't know what to say or where to start. My first best friend, my Sister-Cousin Debi, has gone to Glory. Its not as if we didn't expect her passing, because we did. We knew this was coming, even with all of the prayers for complete healing, we still knew. And, I daresay, we mentioned to God for His will to be done, knowing that He was finishing his preparation for her to go Home, but still we held out hope. Debi was released to home hospice I think about three weeks ago, with the warning that she had between 48 hours and two months left. There was hopeful news in there, too...her lungs were clear as a bell. It made me think we were on an upward trend, and encouraged me to continue to pray for healing. But in the back of my mind, I knew. Lord, I knew that her time was limited. So I went down there to her one more time. I spent more time with her...I made her laugh, checked her throwing

Jesus wept.

Jesus wept. That is the shortest verse in the entire Bible, but it speaks volumes about Him. Jesus, fully God and fully Man. Human from stem to stern. To say that He never experienced what we do now is, according to this verse, totally false. He encountered racism, segregation, slavery, bias, prejudice...joy, anger, the gamut of emotions, and no doubt He even encountered counter-cultures, but none of it, not one iota of it can compare to the emotion of grief. To put it bluntly, today, Jesus can relate with me, and with others who are going through the process of grief. In the Bible, Jesus was ministering to those around Him when He got word that one of His dearest friends was very ill, close to death. He acknowledged the news, and continued healing and teaching.  After two more days, Jesus told them that they needed to go to Judea, so that He may "wake" Lazarus.
